Phyo Films is a film production company that makes short films that challenge viewers to ask the right questions about life and documentaries to help open the eyes of the world to desperate situations. Phyo Films was founded in the summer of 2008 by filmmakers Michael G. Barrett and Jonathan Olive when the two teamed up to create their first short film together, The Pizza Connection (2008), a short film about life, priorities and the power of relationships.
Since their short film, the two have teamed up to create Trash Mountain - The Honduras Story and Trashed in Cambodia for The Trash Mountain Project, a 501(c)3 co-founded by Barrett. Both of these documentaries have been shown around the world and have helped raise awareness and over $150,000 for the families of trash dump communities in Honduras and Cambodia.
